Blessed are the merciful

Brother. If you like watching television, or even read the newspaper then from there you can conclude for yourself how the current world situation, you can know how the attitudes and human nature today. Man is not getting better but is getting more and more evil. Man did not hesitate to spend a life of someone just for the sake of the hundred thousand, where there are poor people are treated unfairly. Wickedness of man became increasingly, and some even said that to find good people in this city very step.

Humans have moral degradation. Man having a crisis of love .. Man having a crisis is a crisis insensitivity to the surrounding environment. Where more major human self-interest than on the interests of others.
Therefore it is very true what is said by Paul in Timothy (I Tim. 3:1-7) that in the last days of mc more love ourselves, become slaves of money, do not know love, be indifferent to religion, to live according to the weather lust etc. ..

There are many factors causing human experience such as economic factors, where humans consciously or unconsciously forced to collect money as much as possible. Therefore the way of thinking, acting human beings today to everything, always measured in material things, always measured in profit and loss in relationship to each other even there many people use the concept of profit and loss. What's the point if I have a relationship with him. If I help someone what can be given to me .. What sumbangsinya in my life.

Therefore, when a person no longer provide benefit to us, then the relationship started to become distant and eventually disconnected. Even in a relationship with God there are believers who have a concept like this, if I follow God, serve God, what God has given to me, if I give an offering what God has given to me.

So no wonder there are so many people are initially active in the church, suddenly no longer a follower of God.

Second: That the man is no longer live in accordance with the teachings and values of the Word of God, religion and faith values the No. 2 didlm life. Spiritual values are increasingly not getting the main place in human life today.
So no wonder the crime after crime is increasing day by day .... Do not be surprised if the relational ties among the less, do not be surprised if people increasingly do not have the sensitivity to the needs and difficulties of others.

Mat. 5:7
"Blessed are the cheapest in heart: for they shall obtain mercy"

In another translation: "Blessed or blessed are those whose hearts are compassionate then he will be pitied"

Brother of course familiar with Mother Teresa, the moon (26th Agstus 2010) then the community of India (Calcutta) is celebrating the 100th anniversary with a gala. He had died 13 years ago, 6 September 1997. He was an extraordinary generosity in this case so that he was nicknamed "Angel of Mercy" = angel of mercy or generosity .... He founded the Order of Bearer Love.

Beginning he did this, when he came out of the walls of the church and susteran, when he took the train and he watched a slum in Calcutta India. He studied the millions of emaciated people waiting to die. He sees the broken bodies because of ill health. But no one noticed them, the government does not pay attention to them, the people around him do not notice them, even churches are confined by the walls so hard to see out.

He saw the church, always convey the news of love but was limited to the walls of the church, or to fellow believers, but not able to look outside the walls of the church.

When he saw conditions like this, he decided to get out of the walls of churches and monasteries, and he lived along with the children homeless, he would notice and care for those sick org. What is the secret of Mother Teresa, what motivated him.

He has a noble motivation is to serve God and more than that he has a loving heart like the heart of Jesus (When he saw org starving, emaciated she saw that the inside is Christ).

Asked if today there are still people who have a heart like Mother Teresa? There might say no ... but I say there should be .. Because every Christian org should pick the compassionate heart.

Why do so many people today who do not have a generous heart, or compassion toward others? Because of our hearts, our eyes still baffle, fog, walls that have not been on unloading which causes the eyes of our hearts is difficult to see out.

The walls that prevent us to have that compassion is the first of ourselves, we think more of ourselves, we are more looking at things from the perspective of ourselves. We are not able to look outside of ourselves, to others around us ..

Lord Jesus in the parable of the Good Samaritan, the end of the story he asked his disciples murid_Nya 'according to you who are fellow human beings? If we pay attention to context when he talked about "who are fellow human beings." So before talking about the good Samaritan of the Lord Jesus spoke about loving God and neighbor. The Jews are the people have the notion that Jews were not beyond human beings. People who are outside the Jews are infidels who do not deserve to get love and blessing from God. Not feasible to obtain salvation.

There is a bulkhead or partition wall with their hearts, so that when the Lord Jesus says love your neighbor, which occurred to them that a fellow human being it is a fellow Jew. Not the Jewish people outside.

If this pertaanyaan asked us, who are our neighbors? What is our neighbor, are fellow Christians, our families, our co-minister? Fellow our tribe, or who?

Brother. Is not this also often happens to us without us knowing it, that we are able to be generous, to love our neighbor just told: Who among us? a Christian or a church, the clan with us, our business partners, it is our wall; if people outside it, then it is not a fellow, if there is a possibility you help us please, if not, ... it's okay. He told the people selected (sheep) to enter the kingdom of heaven, he said when I was in prison you pay a visit me, when I was hungry you gave me food, when I was naked you gave me clothing. These people become confused because they never gave food to him, never gave pakayan to Jesus, they never visited Jesus in prison. But the Lord Jesus says: whatever you do to the most despicable, you did for me. Today so many people who just become spectators to the suffering of others without trying to assist and help. Many people are just being a good commentator without any real action. And even worse, many people are having fun, accumulate wealth over penderitan others.

When unable to do anything to people who need our help, then it's just like we see Jesus who need help from us, but we only see it without any effort to help.
Mother Theresa, when she saw the poor, the sick, he saw their faces like the face of Christ, He looks like Jesus who was dying, sick .. Jesus who are in need of food.

Application: As a servant of God, I often visited the church of God, and to sharing the difficulties they are, I can not help financially, I can only provide input, and pray .. Sometimes when they come home so I often feel guilty for not being able to help them financially.

The Bible clearly tells us that we have a compassionate heart. At least there are three reasons why we should have a heart of compassion or generosity:

I. Example of Jesus Christ

There org that says love and way of life followed Jesus is no longer relevant today. The death of Jesus on the cross in his lifetime is no longer relevant to today? What did Jesus say and do is no longer relevant for today, because the world has changed, is not on earth Palestine. How can his love until the end of the earth to reach a different culture, time, ethnicity and customs. But the Bible clearly tells us that the love of Jesus not only existed at that time but the love of Jesus to redeem the dimensions of space and time, forever. Love and generosity of Jesus addressed to each of His children regardless of race, language and all ages. Jesus' love is not limited to certain levels but starting from the small people to the authorities, from small children to adults. Jesus gave a perfect role model for us, he not only comes to few people but for all. He has incarnated, or made flesh so that He was not only aware of human suffering, but He also felt the suffering of mankind.

Today if I invite us to contemplate going back a little of our current condition. Have we ever had a heart that Pekah see the environment around us, is not still so many people who need love, help and our help. What we have done for them? Do we just become a spectator or a commentator is good without trying to assist and help the needy and suffering.

Generous word is not just empathize not just sympathy but also more than it is to feel or take part in the sufferings and struggles of others.

Is there among us today who have a heart like Jesus who took part in the sufferings and struggles of others? That also feel the human suffering. He was without sin be punished by human sin.

Jesus is Lord He left the throne of heaven relah him deny himself and human beings would be like for us humans, simply because of the generosity of God. Salvation that we got today is a form of mercy of Jesus for us. Who are we so Jesus had to sacrifice and die for us? We have no more than the sinner, not worthy to be pitied but Jesus mercy for us. He beranugerah for us.

If the Lord Jesus, have mercy / merciful to us? What about us? Do we have a merciful heart to Jesus? We will never see the Lord Jesus told us to beg on the street? We will not find a Jesus who was sick in the hospital, we never will find Jesus in prison? We will not find a Jesus who was starving. But the Lord Jesus said "Whatever you do to people who least of these, you did for me.

Therefore, brothers, when you lighten your foot to visit the sick, the same as visiting Jesus, when you give a little food for hungry people is the same as you give to Christ, when you give your thanks in part to people in need, just like you give to Jesus.

II. Character / nature of the Christian

Brother, the Apostle Paul says in Galatians 5:22 about the fruit of the Spirit, he showed that one of the character and nature of the believer is generosity, proving that someone was living in the Holy Spirit.
Generosity is the nature of the believer. Therefore that was one sign that someone actually lives in God, is when he has a generous heart.

So many today are selfish man who only pay attention to yourself without even considering going to someone else. Even with the terdekatpun; whether the husband or the wife he can not be merciful. So many people today who live without love. So many people who relah expense of others for the sake of self-interest. So many people who do not have a heart full of compassion.

The Bible explains that the heart of a loving and compassionate is a basic characteristic of Christians. This means that love and compassion is not based on feelings alone but point to the same action. Love and compassion are not only directed by the condition or situation but something that comes out from inside every believer is called the character alive.

Bertrand Russell, an atheist in his book "Why I am Not Christian" he says that Christians are people who are not consistent in carrying out his mandate of God. Christians often try to justify themselves, to manipulate the sentence or word of Jesus Christ by saying that Jesus' words just figurative speech. Tip is to give permission for himself to not give anything to those who beg. I admit that the allegations Russell is a little more is the fact of our life as a Christian org. Sometimes we know what is being taught by the Lord Jesus or we know the Word of God but with our own ways of thinking, we try to twist the word of God to justify ourselves to be smooth so that we feel we do not violate God's command.

For example: When we were waiting alongside a road vehicle, or red light. How does our current attitude of beggars who came near, Will our hearts full of compassion Ibah and give a little that we have him? Perhaps we can say that we can do that? But bagaimanna when the same event was repeated ten times in a day? Especially if it turns out it is the young beggar? Are not we often accuse the young beggar with the word LAZY! with the understanding that we are reluctant to give a hundred dollars to them and even did not give.
With full confidence we assume that what we are doing is very wise, very wise. Moreover, the Bible says that whoever does not work should not eat ..

Brother. Many times we often forget that love and compassion are the nature and character of Christian. This means that the love and mercy does not depend on the mood, do not depend on feeling but something that automatically come out of ourselves and of the deepest heart. That is the heart that has been transformed by God through the Holy Spirit. Pekah heart will always sound the Holy Spirit. Heart who always Pekah against lngkungan where it is located. Not hearts who have been poisoned by human flesh. Liver which has been contaminated by-Ilah Ilah Zaman.

Compassionate heart is the character of Christian org, so it should be no reason for us not to have a compassionate heart. So there is no reason for us not to be generous to others.

III. GOD LOVES YOU HAVE FURTHER NOTICE / generous hearts to us.

Sources of human generosity that is only one God generosity that flowed from Jesus Christ. We are human beings first who should be pitied because of our sins. But through the generosity of God He sent His son Jesus Christ to redeem and liberate us from the brink of destruction. To change the character of our lives. To renew our hearts for more and more Christ-like heart full of compassion.
God is a prime example of how he feel and act generously. Generosity is his own nature as it says, "Be ye merciful, even as your Father is merciful." (Luke 6:36) He understands the human suffering caused by sin. He looked with compassion for sinful humanity because they have no hope and will perish.
His mercy is embodied in the act of sending Jesus Christ. Jesus became human so that He can also fully experience what is perceived by humans. He experienced all the suffering endured by the men but did not sin in the suffering. He died on the cross so that people can get the forgiveness of sins. God has given mercy to mankind in general through the sun, air, and the universe that can be enjoyed by anyone. But He gives mercy specifically the forgiveness of sins through the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus.
Such generosity is what is required of us who believe in the Lord Jesus. Feelings of compassion that followed the action that gives the full sacrifice. Without looking at who we please,
God has first loved us. Therefore, we are required to share the love of God to others.

We are the first person to be pitied because we are sinners and on the verge of destruction, but God through Jesus Christ with eternal love will set us free from the shackles of corruption and therefore we are obliged to share the love of others.

There are many things we can do to help others. Just a question for us: whether we want to be a channel of blessing to others or not? Do we want our life used by God or not?

There are some things we can do for someone else:
First: give a part of God for our blessings to others.
God has blessed us with abundant life, with the blessings of extraordinary, let us share some of God's blessings to those in need. In terms of giving do not wait until we are exaggerated, we give new sufficient.
Brother, The rich are the people who give in poverty and the poor are the people who gave in his wealth.
Brother. Do not wait until our life abundant and newly affluent we give it the same as we will never give, because no one has ever had enough and abundant, was always less and less. But let us give in all our limitations and shortcomings.

Secondly we must do as a form of love and mercy of God on us is to preach the gospel to our surrounding org.
He first generously saved us then we need to share the gift of salvation to others. There are still so many people around us, who have not felt

Thirdly we can pray for people who have difficulties and problems in his life.

Let us be sensitive to the environment where we are. Let us be people who really sunguh has a heart like Christ's merciful heart. God bless. Amen
